Thank you for your playoff comments! And Rest in Peace Songwriter Kris Kristofferson, NBA great Dikembe Mutombo, and MLB Hits Leader Pete Rose.

AND a happy 100th birthday to James (Jimmy) Earl Carter, Jr. the 39th President of The United States! He is very caring and has done wonderful things since leaving the White House! He took Habitat for Humanity very seriously and worked tirelessly to do so! Kudos President Carter!

Mike, I hope all is well. I was wondering your thoughts on Pete Rose being posthumusly being added to the Hall?

Hi Mike - Thanks, all is well. And of course, thanks for your continued support of "Comments".

I began writing a post in February of 2022 concerning Pete Rose and Rule 21(d). I've edited and restarted it several times, hoping to finish and publish it after the Series. Guess my timing was bad. I don't want the post to come out as "speaking ill of the dead", but now seems to be an opportune time to complete it. So, look for something in the near future. How's that for a teaser?

My opinion, Pete bet (doesn't matter on who or how), he knew the rule and did it more than once, and he lied constantly concerning it. His records and memorabilia are in the Hall, so history is recorded, but he should never be enshrined.
