Mike, Game 1 did not disappoint. What a thrill up to the very end. I hope the next 3 games are just as exciting and have the same ending. Although I do love a 7-game series the Naperville Yankees are the only Yankee team I will ever cheer for !!
I’m going with the Dodgers, too. I wish the Tigers, Royals, or Guardians had pulled through - I would have been for them. But I’m hoping both Ohtani and Judge have a great Series. That would be fun to watch.
And I agree about Ortiz - get him out of there! Now he’s shilling to increase gambling (and therefore, gambling addiction and family trauma), too.
Agreed Mark, I could have gotten behind the Royals or the Brewers as well. I did pick the Dodgers in my preseason predictions, and they have met my expectations. I, of course hope it goes seven and definitely want to see "the stars" shine. Both Ohtani and Judge seems like good people.
The whole gambling thing makes me sick. MLB sold its soul for the gambling advertising dollars. I can do without seeing the odds at the bottom of the screen constantly. You make a solid point about the addiction and family trauma which it brings. Sad.
Last night's game was amazing. These teams are evenly matched, so this should be an entertaining and hard-fought series.
