As much as I would have loved to put "Ham" on the team, he didn't fit the requirement of playing in the majors. But if you remember he became a professional wrestle known as the Great Hambino !!!
Great column! Sorry I have no background to comment! Haven't seen most of the movies! But I enjoyed reading the teams with which you arranged! Keep up the good work! Very interesting!
WOW 🤩 You know as much about baseball movies as you do the real game‼️ I have nothing to offer but my amazement at your knowledge 🤩
Thanks. Well, I do watch my fair share of them. View a few of the movies and join in the conversation. Lol
How about Hamilton “Ham” Porter from The Sandlot ? You just know he had to grow up to be a bad-ass player !!
Thanks for your input.

Thanks! You need to watch some of these movies to further your education. Lol
From Craig K via an email:
I would add Vernon K. Simpson (Ray Milland) from "It Happens Every Spring" (1949) as he pitched the St. Louis Browns to the World Series :)
Would also add Joe Hardy ("Damn Yankees") to the outfield as he helped the Senators beat the Yankees :D
I have a soft spot for pitchers.....
**** Both are fine additions and excellent movies. Thanks Craig.
Still watching Hallmark 😂
But it's one plot for 137 different movies on that channel 😊.
Check out some of the baseball movies in the post, you won't be disappointed.
