“There are only two seasons – winter and baseball.” ~ Bill Veeck Looking out the window again today and I realize, we are still in “winter”. So, what to do? My mind wandered to all those great baseball movies which I’ve watched countless times. I bet I could come up with a pretty good team from all those movies.
Great column! Sorry I have no background to comment! Haven't seen most of the movies! But I enjoyed reading the teams with which you arranged! Keep up the good work! Very interesting!
WOW 🤩 You know as much about baseball movies as you do the real game‼️ I have nothing to offer but my amazement at your knowledge 🤩
How about Hamilton “Ham” Porter from The Sandlot ? You just know he had to grow up to be a bad-ass player !!

From Craig K via an email:
I would add Vernon K. Simpson (Ray Milland) from "It Happens Every Spring" (1949) as he pitched the St. Louis Browns to the World Series :)
Would also add Joe Hardy ("Damn Yankees") to the outfield as he helped the Senators beat the Yankees :D
I have a soft spot for pitchers.....
**** Both are fine additions and excellent movies. Thanks Craig.
Still watching Hallmark 😂
