"Get up! Get up! Get outta here! Gone!" ~ Bob Uecker’s home run call.
The results of the Base Ball Writers’ Association of America for the 2025 Baseball Hall of Fame Ballot were announced tonight. The induction will take place during the Hall of Fame Weekend on Sunday, the 27th of July 2025 at the Clark Sports Center, 124 County Highway 52, Cooperstown, NY 13326.
We already know Dick Allen and Dave Parker were elected as players earlier last month by The Hall of Fame Classic Era Committee. Along with Thomas Boswell, the winner of the BBWAA Career Excellence Award and Tom Hamilton who was the recipient of the Ford C. Frick Award this year.
My congratulations to Ichiro Suzuki, CC Sabathia and Billy Wagner for being elected this year by the BBWAA. I “voted” for both Ichiro and CC. I figured Billy would go in as this was his last year of the ballot even though I personally didn’t support his election. The Class of 2025 is solid.
Here’s a look at the voting figures:

Once again, the obvious PED users didn’t get the required votes, nor did the players with off the field issues. As I’ve said previously, no one is “perfect”, but that’s my line in the sand, they used, no Hall and the other flaws need to be considered as well. I’ll stick with “integrity and character” as attributes that need to be present, along with the baseball accomplishments.
How did I do? I hit a couple this year. If you’d like to see my thoughts on the ballot, CLICK HERE. Please tell me how your choices did in the voting.
An aside; if you haven’t, get yourself out to Cooperstown and visit the Hall. Allow at least two days. It is a magical place where history comes alive.

I can’t believe the difference in the number of votes some are so high and some 0‼️ That’s gotta hurt 😞 Quick question: Who chooses the players (I’m sorry if you already explained that🙇🏻♀️) I do love reading your posts and learning🤩 Thank you 🙏
